The facility includes a 1.5 Mile "D" shaped oval (with a road course in the in-field) an NHRA approved 1/4 mile drag strip, a 3/8 mile paved oval, and a dirt track.

LVMS hosts every major touring series in the country, Most of these events are sold out months in advance but the practice and qualifying sessions usually have seats available. Nearly every weekend from February to November there is something going on, from kart racing to high school drags to the Saturday night "bombers" on the dirt track. Some of the events like the Friday Night Drags are open to anyone with a driver's license and for $15 you can even race your rental car... not that we'd do something like that.

Located at the track is the speedway gift shop, open 9 am to 5 pm most days.

They have a large selection of logo items for sale, although be warned - some are very expensive. One of the best deals going is a tour of the grounds for $8.00, which will take you just about every place.

Finally there are several driving schools - The Richard Petty Driving Experience and The Derek Daily Driving Academy to name a couple.

For a racing fan LVMS is just the place to go when you get tired of the action on The Strip. One of our V4V associates has competed on the Drag Strip and road course and they believe it is one of the best racing facilities they have ever been to.

LVMS facts: LVMS has 8,000 mirrors, 175 miles of wire, 600 tons of steel, and 1,975 tons of concrete. A total of 42,000 tons of asphalt was added just on the racing surface, equal to 17 miles of residential roadways. As the perfect icing on the cake, the air-conditioned infield garages of the super speedway have room for 106 teams. LVMS is a $ 200 million state-of-the-art facility.
