Mr. O'Lucky Mr. O'Lucky lived atop the facade at Fitzgerald's Hotel & Casino in Downtown Vegas for years. It was removed in 2002 during a remodeling project. Sadly a fire broke out inside Mr. O'Lucky a few years back and this colorful figure was destroyed. |

The Landmark The Landmark was a tower shaped hotel, similar in theory to the much larger Stratosphere. The hotel was built in 1969 and was imploded in 1995, captured in a scene used in the film "Mars Attacks." The property is now a parking lot on Convention Center Drive near the Las Vegas Convention Center. |

Royal Nevada This battered remnant is from the Royal Nevada, a hotel built in 1955 and incorporated into neighboring Stardust in 1955 as a convention center. |

Joe's Longhorn Casino Joe's Longhorn Casino was in North Las Vegas from 1990 to 1997. |

Sassy Sally's Sassy Sally's was another longtime resident of Fremont Street in the Downtown area of Las Vegas. This massive sign fronted the casino and added to the allure of "Glitter Gulch." |

Stardust It's hard to tell with it folded up but this is a sign for the Stardust, still in operation on the Las Vegas Strip. Note the signature space-age lettering style of the "S" in the center of the photo. |

Showboat The Showboat was an early casino hotel that was remodeled in the late 90s as The Castaways. That hotel closed in 2004 and was torn down in 2005. |

Coin Castle King The Coin Castle was a Glitter Gulch fixture for thirty years, operating from 1970 until 2000. |

Golden Nugget An early sign from one of the oldest hotel-casinos in Las Vegas. The Golden Nugget was built in the 40s along Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas and remains the premiere hotel in that area today. |

Debbie Reynolds The "Debbie" part of the signature sign from the Debbie Reynolds, a small casino hotel operated by the entertainer that went out of business in the late 90s. As of this writing the property is known as The Greek Isles and is located on Convention Center Drive. |
