Main Street Station Garden Court Buffet: Full Review
The only reason this buffet doesn't get more attention is because of the location. Not only is it Downtown, a place most tourists seem to avoid because it isn't as constantly thrilling as The Strip, but it's a couple of blocks off the Fremont Street Experience, which is what most tourists consider to be the only part of Downtown worth visiting. Okay, fine, both are mostly true, but skipping Downtown means you skip terrific things including this, a buffet I consider to be among the best (if not the best in entire city.

You'll know it's different as soon as walk in the room. The lazy ceiling fans, twinkle lights, trellising, and liberal use of plants lend credence to the name "Garden Court" but it is the large floor-to-ceiling windows that set this place apart from the competition. Simply put, it's beautiful.

Keep in mind that this is not an old-school grab a tray and head down the long serving line type of buffet. Like most modern buffets, there are several "stations" where you can grab a variety of different eats. They usually have a selection of ethnic cuisines including (on my last visit) Mexican, Hawaiian, and Chinese plus a wood-burning pizza oven and a carving station that had spicy sausage. Every time I've eaten here I've come away impressed with how lovingly the food is prepared, how flavorful everything is, and how much of it is available.

As with most buffets the only thing the wait staff does is bring drinks, but they are efficient and the folks behind the serving counters are friendly.

About the only thing that might cost you more than $15 here is the seafood buffet that they serve every week and that's only going to be an extra 99-cents above that benchmark. But you get all you can eat lobster, shrimp, and more so it is definitely worth every penny. The other meals are significantly cheaper and yet the quality is no less impressive.

Take a break from the buffets on The Strip that are more expensive and in many cases not as good and make a bee-line for Main Street Station's Garden Court.
