  • Sam's Town Firelight Buffet: The Low Down
    Summary
A bright, open, and airy buffet offering fairly standard food and very decent prices.
    Menu
Sam's Town knows their audience and so you won't find anything too adventurous here. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but if you're looking for exotic flavors or ethnic selections look elsewhere. What they have is what you'd expect at a buffet plus rotisserie chicken, a few ethnic dishes (Chinese, Mexican), and a terrific stand-alone dessert station with hand-scooped ice cream.
    Atmosphere
The soaring ceilings, natural light, and park-side (next to their enclosed atrium) dining combine to create one of the most appealing buffet rooms in town. Unique lighting changes during the day to create different moods. The wall of flames behind the buffet stations is a pretty cool touch.
    Service
    Fast and friendly.
    Price
One of the better bargains in town. Dinner is going to cost you around $11-18 (higher end for theme nights like "all you can eat seafood") while you can get a full and hearty lunch for about $8.
What Else Do I Need To Know?
Did we mention hand-scooped ice cream? How cool is that?
