    What Is It?
Talk about high-concept: this bar celebrates video games with dozens of restored arcade classics and console favorites (Atari, Sega, Xbox, Playstation, etc.) that you can play (by yourself or in competition with others). There's also a dance floor with big video screens to keep the beats dropping while the universe is getting saved.
What Kind of Crowd Does It Draw?
You'd expect a fair share of geeks but it's a surprisingly trendy crowd for the most part. If you grew up with Asteroids, Frogger, and/or Ms. Pac Man, you're going to love this place.
    What Are the Prices Like?
Cheaper than what you'll pay at a bar on The Strip.
When is the Best Time To Go?
They often have video game previews and other game tournaments - check the calender on their website.
    Why Should I Go Here?
Because you are determined to get the high score on Space Invaders and you want to dance and drink while you do it.
What Else Do I Need To Know?
If you beat my score on Q*Bert, I'm coming after you.

    Insert Coin(s): Full Review
Remember the days when you would go to a bar to drink? When the biggest distractions were a pool table, a juke box, and maybe the hot stranger sitting on the stool next to you?

Insert Coin(s), a bar/club/video game arcade located in the burgeoning Fremont East District a couple of blocks down from the Fremont Street Experience, is designed to be nothing but distraction.

Whether you call it a nightclub with video games or a video game arcade with alcohol is up to you but that's the concept here. In addition to a full bar and a dance floor they have dozens of retro arcade style games ranging from Space Invaders to Tekken and more modern console games for Sega, Ninentdo, Xbox, Playstation, and more.

To play the arcade games all you need to do is insert coins (get it?). If you want one of the console games you have to get a seat at the bar (which is not easy on busy nights), order a drink, and ask for a controller. The games are displayed on big monitors above the bar and you can blast aliens, race cars, or wage war to your heart's content.

They also have their version of VIP bottle service booths, each of which comes with a game menu and giant flat-screen monitors. Get a bottle for you and your friends (starting at around $100) and you can have a booth and games all to yourself.

A small but functional dance floor with more video screens allows you to get up and stretch your legs periodically.

I was there late on a Thursday night and the place was packed, mostly with twenty-somethings who probably wouldn't be caught dead standing in line at one of the hot nightclubs on The Strip. There were a few older folks milling about eager for the nostalgia factor, but if that's you consider going in the afternoon or early evening before the place starts getting overrun by late night bar crowd.

There is no cover charge here and basic beers and drinks will run you $5-8.

Insert Coin(s) is a fun concept and they have done a great job executing it. Next time I go I'm determined to get the high score on Ms. Pac Man!
