What Is It?
|
|
More than a dozen hiking trails that wind in and around the scenic Red Rock Canyon area. Trails range from "easy" (which doesn't mean moving sidewalks) to "strenuous" (which is probably an understatement).
Where Is It?
At the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area on the far west side of town, about a 30 minute drive from The Strip.
Is It Worth the Cost?
The actual hiking part is free but there is a per-car fee of $7 to get into the park. If you are a nature buff and want some exercise it is absolutely worth it.
Why Should I Go Here?
Because the neon and slot machines are getting a little overwhelming.
What Else Do I Need To Know?
The website above has a full list of the trails but you should stop at the Visitors' Center to get a map and helpful advice.
What's the Bottom Line?
A great way to spend a morning.
