| American Superstars: Full Review | ||||||||||||||
|
There are plenty of celebrity impression shows in town and this one, while entertaining, is certainly not the best. You can spend a few dollars more and get tickets to Legends in Concert at Imperial Palace, a far superior show, although the package with the drinks, tickets to the tower, and a dinner buffet might just be worth the price of admission. The performers cover a wide range in looks and vocal ability, but very few that we saw nailed it in both categories. Some appear to be dead ringers for their celebrity targets but don't really sound much like them, or vice versa. Since the performers vary it's tough to tell who might be there when you attend, but despite the obligatory Elvis, one positive was a crop of impressions that you usually don't see in these types of shows. You'd expect Neil Diamond or Diana Ross, but instead you may get Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, or even Charlie Daniels. If you want to head up the Stratosphere Tower and grab a bite to eat while you're there. They have packaged that will allow you to get tickets to this and include dinner, which makes it a pretty good deal for a meal, a show, and passes to the top of the tower. On it's own, however, "American Superstars" fails to make the grade.
